Tongchher is one of the successful graduates of the Cambodian Education and Development Organization (CEDO) scholarship program in 2023. He completed a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology at a university in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. Coming from a rural family in Kampong Thom Province, Tongchher lives with his parents, two younger brothers, and one sister. Due to financial challenges, pursuing higher education would not have been possible without the support of the CEDO scholarship. During his university studies, Tongchher was a quiet but highly dedicated student who worked hard and consistently performed well academically. He also gained practical experience by working as a designer while studying, developing strong skills in graphic design and multimedia. After graduating, Tongchher moved to Phnom Penh to access better job opportunities. He is currently working as a Graphic Designer at a design company, where he is responsible for creating posters, editing videos, and developing 3D mockups. His stable employment now allows him to support himself and contribute to his family’s well-being. Tongchher’s journey demonstrates how education and timely support can transform the life of a young person from a rural background. His success is a strong example of the positive impact of CEDO’s scholarship program in empowering Cambodian youth to achieve sustainable livelihoods.
